Most of the eBooks that you will find in the DVC library catalog are EBSCO eBooks. A few steps are required if you want to download the EBSCO eBook to your desktop or an e-reader device, or you can always read it in a web browser.
Whether you are on your smartphone or tablet computer, the steps are generally the same. If you have a problem, you can access EBSCO's eBook help pages by clicking "Help" in the upper right corner, or you can visit the DVC Library's eBook Guide.
1. Download the EBSCO eBooks app, which is the app you'll use to read the eBook. You can search for "EBSCO eBooks" in the App Store or Google play.
2. If you do not have one, create an EBSCOhost username and password. Go to one of the library's EBSCO databases from the A-Z databases page, and select "Sign In" in the upper left, then click on "Create new account" to create an account.
3. Once you open the eBooks app, you will need to connect it with the DVC Library's collection of eBooks. Find "DVC Library" on the list of libraries. You'll be prompted to log in with your EBSCOhost username and password which you created in step #2.
4. You can now search, browse, and download from the DVC Library's collection of EBSCO eBooks.
