The required textbooks for many courses taught at DVC may be checked out in person from our Course Reserves at both the Pleasant Hill and San Ramon campuses. Please check the library catalog to make sure we have a copy of your textbook.

Course reserves are available for a 3 hour checkout, and must remain in the library while you are using them. A limited number of reserve books check out for longer - 1 day, 1 week, or sometimes the whole semester.

All students must present a DVC Connect Card (student ID card) or other photo ID to check out reserves and other books. At the Circulation and Reserve Desk, tell the staff member that you need to borrow a book on reserve. Then tell them either: the title of the book, the course it is for, or the name of your instructor.

Course reserve textbooks are available first come, first serve and cannot be held for students. Currently, DVC has no online or ebook reserves - textbook course reserves are only available in person at the library. Make sure to note the campus location of the textbook - not every textbook is available at both Pleasant Hill and San Ramon campuses.
