At DVC Library, any book that is not marked "Reserves" can be checked out to take home with you. You'll need a DVC student ID or some other form of photo ID to check out books. Books can only be checked out by currently-enrolled students, faculty, and staff at DVC.

How long do I get the book for?

You get the book for three weeks, and you can renew your loan.

How many books may I check out at once?

DVC students may check out up to twenty books total from the stacks but only five books per subject. If your home college is LMC or CCC, you may have different restrictions.

I am not taking classes this semester, may I still check out books?

No, only students currently enrolled in classes may check out books from the DVC libraries.

Can I check out a reference book?

Yes, currently reference books can be checked out.

How can I renew a book?

Sign in to your user account in OneSearch, select the checkouts you want to renew, then follow the prompts to complete your renewal. You can also call the DVC Library - Pleasant Hill Circulation and Reserves Desk at 925-969-2610.
